Product Description

This metal adapter is designed specifically for existing 3.5" bays of PC and server chassis, backplanes, and RAID-type enclosures. Supports any capacity 2.5" SATA or SAS HDD, as well as SSD, and makes it appear to the system as a 3.5" HDD. Hard drive not included.

The side-mountable metal bracket accommodates drive heights up to 15mm. The all-metal construction and airflow spacing provide optimal heat dissipation. Ideal for transactional workstations because SSDs and 2.5" HDDs have faster seek times and process transactions faster than a 3.5" HDD. There are no electronic parts on this adapter, so it will accomodate 6G and 3G interface speeds.
