Privacy Policy

By accessing or using this website, you consent to the collection and use of information by CRU® as outlined in this Privacy Policy.

Restrictions on Disclosing Information to Third Parties

It is CRU’s policy not to use or disclose personally identifying or company identifying information regarding its customers except to satisfy laws, regulations, government (including law enforcement) requests for information, or court orders, including subpoenas.

Tracking of Website Usage

CRU tracks the usage of visitors on our website, including when they exit our website. CRU also keeps track of the pages our customers visit within our website in order to determine what CRU products and information are the most popular.

Use of Cookies

A “cookie” is a small data file that certain website servers store on your hard drive for subsequent use when you visit them.

Cookies are often used for identifying website visitors and their previously indicated preferences. Cookies are often used to hold “sessions” open, so that a visitor may authenticate a minimum number of times. Cookies are often used to facilitate a persistent shopping cart, as CRU does.

Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. If you’d prefer, you can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. However, some parts of some websites, including cru-inc.com, will not function if you do so. We may use cookies to create a shopping cart or for statistical purposes to improve our website or products. For example, we may use cookies to gather information about your preferences as you navigate. This would help us determine how to make our Web site more useful and the information on it easier to access. CRU will not sell or license this information to any third party.

Disclaimer Regarding Linked Sites

This website may contain links to other websites. With the exception of www.cru-inc.com, CRU is not responsible for and has no control over the privacy practices or the content of these other websites or their associated companies and partners. A link to a third party website does not mean that CRU endorses or accepts any responsibility for the content or use of such website or the information transmitted to it.

Right to Data Privacy and GDPR Compliance

CRU applies the guidelines and stipulations of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) to all customers, regardless of citizenship. This includes ensuring privacy measures are in place, as well as offering our customers or contacts data transparency, data portability, and the right to be forgotten per their request.

Privacy Policy Changes

CRU reserves the right to revise, amend, or modify this policy at any time and in any manner without prior notice, and with such changes effective upon posting on this website.

Online Store Policies

Ordering Policies

CRU accepts payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards. When ordering, your credit card will not be charged until your order is in process of being shipped.

Tax Exempt Status

CRU collects sales taxes in a small number of states in which it has nexus. Please review the short list of states that we charge sales tax to on our Policies page (under “State Sales Tax”).

Due to the amount of time necessary to approve, verify, and validate tax exempt statuses, we do not currently offer tax exempt sales through our online store.

Tax exempt customers may choose to place their order through the online store anyway, electing to apply for a sales tax refund through their state tax system. Alternately they are encouraged to purchase CRU products from a reseller who is set up to handle these requests. Contact sales@cru-inc.com if you would like assistance with any of these options, or if you have other questions regarding tax exempt orders.

Quoted Taxes

For the states which we collect sales tax, tax amounts shown during checkout are estimates. Tax code and tax amounts may change between when the order is placed, and when the credit card is charged at time of shipment.

State Sales Tax

CRU collects sales tax for orders to the following states:

  1. Washington
  2. California
  3. Kansas
  4. Maryland
  5. Tennessee

Shipping in USA

Our shipping quotes are actual quotes, delivered in real time from FedEx or UPS.

Shipping charge options and quotes are based on weight and destination.

Shipping to other countries

The CRU online store accepts orders to some international destinations. During checkout, the store provides a list of countries that CRU will currently ship to.

International shipping charge options and quotes are based on weight and destination.

Our shipping quotes are actual quotes, delivered in real time from FedEx or UPS, minus duties and fees. CRU will not be responsible for any duties, taxes, or other fees imposed by governments and/or shipping companies.

Shipping to Australia

Not all products in CRU’s product line are available for sale to Australia. The shopping cart will prevent any non-RCM licensed parts to Australia during checkout. If you have interest in a product that isn’t currently listed for sale to Australia, please contact sales@cru-inc.com and inquire.

Improvement of products

CRU reserves the right to improve/enhance our products at any time, without warning. In this situation, the improved/enhanced products will replace whatever products that may have been ordered by the customer. The replacement will be noted on customer’s invoice, which will reference the correct part numbers and description for what was shipped, rather than what was ordered.
