Built-in bridge converters enable you to transition easily from IDE to SATA. Using this technology, you can continue using your IDE hard drives with SATA host computers.

Carriers mount in most computer bays (PC and MAC) with either DataPort 5 or 5 Plus SATA receiving frames, and its simple design makes swapping drives easy for additional storage.

Receiving frames support both IDE and SATA drives, enabling you to mix and match drive types.

The SATA-to-IDE DataPort 5 Plus Carrier aluminum alloy carriers dissipate heat while ensuring the safety your data. Each carrier is equipped with CRU’s patented Temperature Controlled Cooling System (TCCS™), and an audible alarm will notify you if the drives begin to overheat so that you can prevent data loss or drive malfunction/damage.

The SATA-to-IDE DataPort 5 Plus Carrier is equipped with connectors that are tested and verified for over 25,000 insertions.

Secure your data with either a latch or powered keylock to prevent unauthorized access to your drive or accidental removal during operation.
